About

Maureen Millard is a cognitive behavioural therapist at Nightingale Hospital. She has been providing therapy at the hospital since 2000 and has extensive experience supporting individuals with a range of emotional and psychological difficulties. These include depression, anxiety, panic attacks, OCD, postnatal depression, stress, sleep difficulties, work-related concerns, personality disorders, interpersonal challenges, bereavement, and anger management.

With a background in Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapy (REBT), Maureen helps clients understand how unhelpful thought patterns and behaviours contribute to their emotional difficulties. Her approach is centred on equipping individuals with the tools to challenge and replace irrational thinking with more rational, balanced perspectives-leading to lasting, positive changes in emotional wellbeing and everyday life.

Before training as a therapist, Maureen had a professional career in banking and corporate administration, working for NatWest Bank and various multinational companies across London, Sydney, and Auckland. After gaining her BSc (Hons) in Psychology from the Open University and an MSc in Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapy from the University of London, she began her therapeutic work with Mind in Beckenham, later establishing her own CBT practice in Central London, including several years at 10 Harley Street.

Maureen integrates cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) with mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT), offering tailored interventions to meet the specific needs of each client. She is especially experienced in helping individuals manage workplace stress, low self-esteem, fertility concerns, and chronic pain.

She is an accredited member of the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) and a graduate member of the British Psychological Society (MBPsS).

“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
