Er habilitierte sich im Fach Orthopädie und Unfallchirurgie und wurde 2015 zum außerplanmäßigen Professor an der Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München ernannt. Seine operative Tätigkeit umfasst sowohl gelenkerhaltende arthroskopische und offene Verfahren als auch endoprothetische Versorgungen, insbesondere an Knie- und Hüftgelenken. Darüber hinaus behandelt er Erkrankungen der Schulter, des Ellenbogens, der Hand und des Sprunggelenks.
