Marc brings over a decade of experience in the care profession, having started his journey at the age of 16. With 11 years spent in a care home setting, he rose to the role of senior care assistant, where he took on responsibilities such as overseeing health and safety, conducting risk assessments, and managing workload alongside a team of colleagues. His experience also involved liaising with social work and other external agencies to ensure comprehensive support for residents. Following this, Marc transitioned to supporting adults with learning difficulties in the community before moving on to provide care at home services with a local council. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a deep enthusiasm for helping individuals live as independently as possible within their own homes and communities. He holds an SVQ level 3 in social care and an HNC in social care, with a focus on loss and grief. Marc is committed to delivering person-centred care, tailoring his approach to meet the unique needs and preferences of each client he supports. Registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC), Marc adheres to the highest standards of professional conduct and ethics in his practice. His expertise spans various areas of specialist care, including dementia, COPD, stroke, palliative care, and mental health conditions like depression and anxiety. In his role as a caregiver, Marc provides a range of services encompassing personal care, mobility assistance, meal preparation, and companionship. He holds certifications in moving and handling.
