Dr Lucia Ricciardi is a clinician and neuroscientist with an internationally recognised expertise in Parkinson's disease and other movement disorders. She has a particular interest in multi-disciplinary team management and advanced therapies including Deep Brain Stimulation and infusion therapies. Dr Ricciardi's clinical and research work focuses on the biological, behavioural, and psychological experiences of non-motor symptoms in people with Parkinson's disease and other movement disorders. Dr Ricciardi also studies the role of interoception in generating and perpetuating neuropsychiatric symptoms in patients with movement disorders. Her overall goal is to improve the mind-body interaction in these groups of people and to design new interventions that empower individuals to improve their wellbeing.
