Dr. Lee Mei Yap is a Consultant Dermatologist with over a decade of experience in providing both adult and paediatric cosmetic dermatology services including anti-wrinkle treatments, dermal fillers, and also medical dermatology treatments for acne, scarring, eczema, psoriasis, and rashes. Dr. Yap is dedicated to providing an excellent standard of natural aesthetic care for her patients. She sees private patients at the Dermatology Institute of Victoria.
Dr Yap earned her primary medical qualification at the University of Melbourne in 1997, after which she undertook her training at various renowned Melbourne Hospitals such as The Alfred Hospital, Monash Medical Centre, St Vincent's Hospital and the Royal Melbourne Hospital. Dr. Yap was then awarded a fellowship from the Australasian College of Dermatologists in 2005, and upon completion, Dr. Yap began her practice at Kew Dermatology alongside Dr. Peter Sinclair, and also at the Dermatology Institute of Victoria with Professor Greg Goodman.
Since beginning her medical journey, Dr. Yap has also been an active member of the scientific research and medical education community, authoring numerous peer-reviewed articles for renowned dermatology journals, in addition to providing training to medical students, junior doctors, and general practitioners. She has had the opportunity to present her research at national and international conferences and has been appointed to the Executives Committee and Faculty Secretary of the Victorian Faculty of Dermatologists.
