About Dr Lachlan Host
Dr. Lachlan Host is a highly specialised orthopaedic surgeon with a strong focus on joint replacement surgery for the knee and hip, arthroscopic knee surgery, and fracture management. He is dedicated to providing cutting-edge treatments to his patients. Dr. Host is particularly proud to offer the latest advancements in anterior minimally-invasive surgeries (AMIS) for hip replacement, as well as kinematically aligned and patient-specific instrumented (PSI) knee replacements. Dr. Host believes in the power of technology to enhance orthopaedic surgery and improve patient outcomes. He is committed to bringing these technological advancements to the residents of regional areas, allowing them to access high-quality care without the need for travel. As a local resident in the Central West with his wife and four children, he is deeply rooted in the community and takes pride in offering his services to the Bathurst, Lithgow, Blue Mountains, and Mudgee areas. His training background includes mentorship from top surgeons in New South Wales and Queensland, as well as military service and a fellowship in Edinburgh. Dr. Host obtained his FRACS (Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons) qualification from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2015.
