About Dr Kristian Kley
Dr. Kristian Kley is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with many years of experience in orthopaedic knee surgery. He sees private patients with the Orthopaedic Specialists Group. After completing his medical degree, Dr. Kley undertook his surgical training at Hannover Medical School, where he gained knowledge and expertise during his residency in Hannover, under professor Philipp Lobenhoffer. He then became an Assistant Doctor Trauma Surgery and specialising in joint reconstruction and traumatology at the Henrietten Foundation. He then went on to become an orthopaedic assistant at the Anna Foundation, where he gained experience in spinal surgery. Upon completion, Dr. Kley worked in Sportclinic, Germany, and later earned his doctorate in 2015. Dr. Kley later gained interest in osteotomy for knee conditions and has since centered the use of computer simulation for complex osteotomies and also for stabilisation in kneecap dislocations. He has since regularly carried out 300 knee osteotomies per year, and regularly develops new techniques to improve the delivery of such procedures. Dr. Kley is also a member of the Joint Preservation Expert Group of AO Foundation, allowing him to assist in the development of minimally invasive techniques for femur and tibia osteotomy, which are now regularly used in Hannover.
