She went on to achieve her Intercollegiate Fellowship in Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery (FRCS ORL-HNS) and completed an advanced fellowship in Ear, Skull Base, and Cochlear Implant Surgery at Auckland City Hospital and Starship Children’s Hospital in New Zealand.

Appointed as a Consultant in Paediatric ENT at the Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow in 2015, Ms McAllister now works exclusively with paediatric patients.

She is deeply involved in medical education as a Surgical Trainer, Educational Supervisor, and Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Glasgow. Additionally, she is a member of the British Association for Paediatric Otolaryngology and European Society of Paediatric Otorhinolaryngology
