Ms. Kelly Wild is a highly skilled physiotherapist with a deep passion for sports injury rehabilitation, particularly in snowsports. She qualified as a physiotherapist in 2005 and furthered her expertise by earning a Master's degree in Sports Physiotherapy from the University of Bath.
A former professional ski racer and member of the British Ski Team, Kelly became Britain’s number one female skier in downhill. Following her competitive career, she transitioned into coaching, serving as a coach for the British Children's Ski Team and later as the Head Coach of the English Ski Team. In this role, she was responsible for designing and delivering strength and conditioning programs as well as sports psychology training for the team.
Kelly has gained extensive experience working across various sectors, including the NHS, military, police, and professional football, with a strong emphasis on injury prevention. She created a Snowsports Injury Prevention Programme for the UK military and has delivered injury prevention workshops at the UK Snowsports Coaching conference. Kelly has also co-authored research on lower limb tendinopathy, which contributed to the development of the UK military’s tendinopathy best practice guidelines.
In addition to her role at YSM, Kelly holds contract positions with British Gymnastics and Great Britain Snowsports, providing care for national team athletes, including para-athletes. She integrates her sports experience with clinical expertise to provide specialised injury prevention and rehabilitation programs.
Kelly’s services include physiotherapy, biomechanical assessments, taping, gait analysis, mobilisations, tendon problem management, sports massage, and injury prevention assessments.
