About Dr Karim Saad
Dr Karim Saad is a consultant psychiatrist and Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists. They specialise in the assessment and treatment of mental illness in older adults and in dementia and cognitive impairment, including Younger Onset Dementia. They assist individuals in designing their own risk reduction plans in Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) and Dementia, including a focus on Active Ageing, managing Dementia risk factors and boosting Cognitive Resilience. Dr Saad is experienced in the use of the Mental Health Act and the Mental Capacity Act and welcomes referrals for capacity assessments. Dr Saad has worked at health policy level towards transforming the provision of dementia care in the UK and in Europe, including positively influencing cultural and societal perceptions of dementia.
