About Dr Jun Kim
Dr. Jun Kim is an accomplished Neurosurgeon trained in Australasia, renowned for his expertise in neurosurgical care. Graduating from the University of New South Wales in 2008, he completed his internship and residency at Westmead Hospital before advancing to specialised training across prominent institutions in Australia and New Zealand. His training included stints at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, Princess Alexandra Hospital, Queensland Children’s Hospital, John Hunter Hospital, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, and Wellington Hospital. Dr. Kim attained fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2019. Further enhancing his skills, he pursued a rigorous six-month fellowship in cerebrovascular and skull base surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. His dedication to advancing neurosurgical techniques continued with a subsequent six-month fellowship in paediatric neurosurgery at the Children’s Medical Center in Dallas. Here, he specialised in managing paediatric brain tumours, spina bifida, and laser interstitial thermal therapy. Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Kim is actively involved in research and education, contributing to publications on topics such as head injury, neuro-oncology, epilepsy, and cerebrovascular disorders. He serves as a reviewer for esteemed journals and participates in teaching medical students and trainees. Dr. Kim is a member of several prestigious medical associations including the Australian Medical Association (AMA), Neurosurgical Society of Australasia (NSA), American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS), and the North American Skull Base Society (NASB).
