Dr. Josh Hurwitz is a Medical Oncologist with broad expertise in the diagnosis and management of cancer, with particular clinical interests in breast, genitourinary, and skin malignancies. He is actively involved in research and medical education, maintaining a strong focus on expanding trial access to patients in both metropolitan and regional settings.
Dr. Hurwitz holds a public appointment at Monash Health and practices in several regional centres, including Goulburn Valley Health and Albury Wodonga Cancer Centre. His private affiliations include Epworth, Cabrini, and Waverley Private Hospitals. He later undertook a dedicated fellowship in breast and genitourinary cancers at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research and The Kinghorn Cancer Centre, under the mentorship of Professors Elgene Lim and Anthony Joshua. He was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Physicians in 2023 and has completed an observership at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston.
Dr. Hurwitz is also the co-host of Oncology for the Inquisitive Mind, an internationally recognised oncology podcast, and has contributed to research published both nationally and internationally.
