Dr. med. Josef Lawitschka ist als Arzt für Allgemeinmedizin tätig. Seine Ausbildung zum praktischen Arzt absolvierte er von 1979 bis 1982 im Lainz Krankenhaus und der Krankenanstalt Rudolfstiftung. Seit 1982 ist er als Fliegerärztlicher Sachverständiger tätig. Dr. med. Lawitschka ist Gründungsmitglied und Präsident der Österreichischen Gesellschaft für Luftfahrtmedizin (ÖGLM).
Zusätzlich zu seiner Tätigkeit als Arzt für Allgemeinmedizin verfügt Dr. med. Lawitschka über ein Diplom für Flugmedizin (DFP-Fortbildungsdiplom) und ein Zertifikat für "Psychiatrische Basisfertigkeiten in der hausärztlichen Praxis" der Ärztekammer Wien.
Dr. med. Lawitschka bietet seinen Patienten eine Reihe von speziellen Leistungen an, darunter Ernährungsberatung, Diabetologie, Flugmedizin, Hypertoniebehandlung und Magnetfeldtherapie.
