About Dr John Moulder-Brown
Dr John Moulder-Brown is a highly esteemed member of the Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) team at the Priory Hospital North London. In addition to his work in DBT, he also co-facilitates the 'mindfulness' group with great skill and compassion. Dr Moulder-Brown's use of Intensive Short-term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP) in 1 to 1 work has proved highly effective. Like DBT, ISTDP draws on mindfulness skills and emphasises the role of emotional avoidance in mental suffering and self-destructive coping behaviours. This makes it an incredibly useful tool for helping people overcome a range of mental health difficulties. Dr Moulder-Brown's work has helped many people overcome their mental health challenges and improve their quality of life. He completed a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and went on to complete a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology at City University of London. His specialist areas include mental health treatment, personality disorders and self-harm.
