About
Joanna holds DBT Advanced Practitioner Status, a Diploma in CBT from Kingston University, a BSc in Mental Health Nursing from Brunel University, and has completed EMDR training. While working in an acute inpatient psychiatric hospital, Joanna was drawn to clients who could benefit from psychological help beyond psychotropic medication. This motivated her to train and practice in cognitive behavioural therapy and group therapy. She continues to learn about the human experience and strives to make a positive impact in people’s lives. Joanna is highly validating and empathetic, finding great reward in listening to and helping others through difficulties.
Joanna works with adults of all ages, particularly those seeking help with anxiety, depression, personality disorders, PTSD, impulsive and life-threatening behaviours, and self-harm.
“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
