About

Professor Jim Khan is a general and emergency colorectal cancer surgeon specialising in robotic and laparoscopic bowel cancer surgery. He has over 25 years of experience and treats a wide range of disorders affecting the small intestine, colon, and rectum.

Prof. Khan graduated in 1996 before specialising in general surgery. He undertook basic surgical training in Scotland and gained a master's degree from Cardiff University. Following this, prof. Khan joined the Wessex surgical rotation for specialist registrar training in colorectal surgery. He gained experience in complex pelvic and rectal cancer surgery while working with Professor Heald at Basingstoke. He was awarded a UK National Laparoscopic Fellowship at Colchester in 2007, during which prof. Khan trained in advanced laparoscopic pelvic surgery.
