About Dr Jason Papacostas
Dr Jason Papacostas is a neurosurgeon. They have a special interest in minimally invasive skull base surgery, awake cranial neurosurgery and epilepsy surgery. They also specialise in paediatric neurosurgery and have an interest in minimally invasive spine surgery. Dr Papacostas is a member of the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital spine team. Dr Papacostas is also employed as a consultant neurosurgeon at Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital. Dr Papacostas trained in neurosurgery in Australia. They undertook further subspecialty training in paediatric neurosurgery in Brisbane, before travelling to North America. In North America, they undertook fellowships in epilepsy surgery and endoscopic skull base surgery at Foothills Hospital, Canada. Dr Papacostas pioneered Stereo EEG surgery for epilepsy patients in Queensland and presents regularly on a national and international level.
