Miss Jane Kerby

Miss Jane Kerby is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon based in Newcastle. She graduated from the University of Nottingham Medical School in 2009 and subsequently trained in plastic surgery units across the UK, including Cambridge, Norwich, and Oxford. She has undertaken research into the Tumour Immunology of Melanoma (Skin cancer) in the WINN, Oxford University. She completed her higher specialist training in Plastic Surgery followed by advanced fellowship training in the North East. In addition to her UK training, Miss Kerby has a strong background in humanitarian surgical work, having undertaken cleft surgery projects in East Africa and the Philippines. She is a trustee for the UKs Cleft Lip and Palate Charity (CLAPA). She was appointed as a Consultant in 2023 and currently serves as the Clinical Governance Lead for the Plastic Surgery Department at Newcastle Hospitals NHS Trust, with responsibility for patient safety and clinical quality assurance. She's listed on the General Medical Council's specialist register for plastic surgery and is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Her clinical practice encompasses cleft lip and palate management across all age groups, as well as paediatric plastic surgery. She also treats a broad range of conditions including skin cancers, benign skin lesions, scar revisions, paediatric skin conditions, vascular malformations, facial reconstruction, and laser treatments. Her cosmetic practise focuses on rejuvenation and enhancement procedures for the face (blepharoplasties, rhinoplasty, prominent ear correction, laser resurfacing) and body (cosmetic breast surgery, brachioplasty, body contouring surgery, abdominoplasty, labiaplasty).
