Dr Jalal Zamani is a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist based in Melbourne with special interests in complex coronary intervention and structural heart disease. He completed his medical degree at the Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Iran in 1984 followed by his specialty training in cardiology at Shiraz University in Iran. Dr Zamani completed further specialist training in interventional cardiology in Germany and Switzerland.
Dr Zamani was later appointed as an Associate Professor of Cardiology at Shiraz University and was involved in a substantial number of cardiovascular interventions, including complex coronary and peripheral vascular interventions. He moved to Australia in 2015 and completed a year-long fellowship in interventional cardiology at Alfred Hospital. In 2018 he became recognised as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
Dr Zamani currently consults privately at HeartWest Hoppers Crossing and St Albans. He also has hospital appointments at Alfred Hospital, Western Private Hospital and St Vincent's Private Hospital.
