Dr Ian Ellis
Clinical Genetics
About
working as a Consultant in the NHS.
• I also lecture in the University of Liverpool and act as a Consultant in Genomics to the London Clinic.
• I have more than eight years experience writing over eighty medico-legal reports; many involving the alleged non-accidental injury of infants and children, examining the differential diagnosis possibility of bruising, bone fractures, osteogenesis
imperfecta (OI) and other connective tissue disorders, the genetic contribution
to children with neurological disabilities, dysmorphic syndromes and suspected
birth asphyxia, as well as describing rare syndromes, their management and life
expectancy. I have given evidence in Family, Civil and Criminal Courts related to these reports.
“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
