Before joining Sage Clinics, Mrs. Salem made significant contributions to the field of psychology while working at the American University of Beirut Medical Center. Her work emphasised a compassionate, evidence-based approach, allowing her the privilege of working with patients and their caregivers as they faced challenging psychological and medical conditions.

Mrs. Salem has gained experience working extensively in both the United States and Lebanon, providing her with insights into various clinical populations. Her expertise covers a wide range of mental health areas, including mood disorders, self-esteem difficulties, anxiety, phobias, OCD, emotional dysregulation, interpersonal and relationship difficulties, personality disorders, stress management, palliative psychology (for chronically and terminally ill patients), oncology patients (from diagnosis into survivorship or palliative care), grief and bereavement.

In addition to her clinical expertise, Dr. Salem is affiliated with several prestigious organisations, including being an Associate Member of the American Psychological Association (APA), a member of the International Psycho-Oncology Society (IPOS), a member of Psi Chi International Honor Society in Psychology, and a member of the British Psychological Society. She is also licensed by the Community Development Authority.
