She earned her bachelor's degree in dietetics from Leeds Metropolitan University and has also undertaken the British Dietetic Association's paediatric modules 1, 2, and 3. Furthermore, she has undertaken FODMAP training at King's College London as well as a leadership course at Great Ormond Street Hospital.

In her role at Great Ormond Street Hospital, she is the clinical lead for specialist neonatal and paediatric surgery, and she provides a dietetic service for children on the surgical and neonatal wards. She assesses and reviews patients requiring parenteral nutrition or enteral feeding regimes, exclusion diets, and suspected non-IgE-mediated food allergies. She also cares for children with conditions such as necrotising entercolitis, trachea-oesophageal fistula, short gut syndrome, and high output colonostomies.
