About Mr Guna Reddy-Kolanu
Mr Guna Reddy-Kolanu is the Clinical Lead for the ENT department in Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust and has been an ENT Consultant since 2016, specialising in general ENT with a specific interest in ear disorders, balance disorders and children ENT. He treats a majority of children and patients with balance problems at his NHS practice at East Surrey and Crawley Hospitals. Mr Reddy-Kolanu also sees private patients at Spire Gatwick Park Hospital and Ramsay North Downs Hospital. Mr Reddy-Kolanu completed his medical degree at the University of Southampton in 2003. He completed his Diploma in Otolaryngology and Head-Neck Surgery, awarded by the Royal College of Surgeons, in 2007. In 2014, he became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in Otorhinolaryngology and Head-Neck Surgery. He also holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from the University of Bristol. To date, he has performed over 1000 tonsillectomies, including more modern intracapsular techniques, over 1000 ear operations, including mastoid surgery, eardrum reconstruction and implementation, over 500 sinus operations and over 10000 operations in his 13 years of experience in ENT. Mr Reddy-Kolanu's training in ENT was supplemented by further training in complex ear surgery and cochlear implant surgery in children as young as 11 months. He continues to provide support for colleagues in caring for patients requiring ear surgery and is an appraiser of doctors in all areas of practice.
