Dr Georgia Spentzou is a Consultant Paediatric Cardiologist with subspecialist expertise in electrophysiology and inherited cardiac conditions. She graduated with an MBBS from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2007 and has since built a distinguished career in paediatric cardiology. In 2024, she completed an MSc in Sports Cardiology at St George's University of London, further strengthening her expertise in the cardiovascular care of young and athletic populations.
With over a decade of experience in echocardiography, Dr Spentzou was awarded the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI) Certification in Echocardiography for Congenital Heart Disease in 2018. Her clinical interests focus on arrhythmias, congenital heart disease, and inherited cardiac conditions in children and adolescents.
Dr Spentzou is highly skilled in a broad range of diagnostic and interventional procedures, including echocardiography, ECG, cardiac CT and MRI, catheter ablation for arrhythmias, and the implantation of pacemakers and defibrillators.
Alongside her clinical work, she is actively involved in research and medical education, teaching Year 4 medical students and holding Associate Status with the University of Bristol.
