Mrs Florence Gardam

Florence Gardam is a certified Nutritional Therapist. She is also trained in Raviv/Sound training and Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP). Florence specialises in supporting children with learning difficulties and neurodevelopmental disorders. As a parent herself, Florence's interest in this field began when she supported her own daughter in overcoming learning challenges within a mainstream school environment. She is passionate about helping other children and their parents unlock their potential. Over the last 10 years, she has worked with children between the ages of 5 and 16, focusing on brain development and neural pathways during this critical stage of brain plasticity. Florence's approach to improving learning difficulties involves a whole-body approach to brain development, addressing sensory issues, and promoting neural connectivity in the frontal lobe, which plays a role in behaviour and learning. She uses methods based on neuroscience research to enhance auditory processing, sequencing, working memory, and attention, which are essential pillars of learning. Her specialised program includes innovative sound training, movement programs, and a focus on nutritional balance. Florence's expertise in nutrition also allows her to understand the link between the gut microbiome and its influence on the brain through the vagus nerve. She supports parents in identifying critical foods and making simple changes in eating habits, along with the use of supplements, to improve attention, focus, and learning in neurodiverse children. Florence is committed to helping children overcome challenges, and supporting them in progressing through mainstream education as happier and more confident individuals.
