About
Dr Balouch graduated from Allama Iqbal Medical College, University of Punjab in Lahore, Pakistan. They undertook general paediatric training in University teaching hospitals in Pakistan, Oman and Australia. Dr Balouch completed Paediatric Gastroenterology training at the Royal Children's Hospital Brisbane (now called the Children's Hospital Queensland). They were then offered a position at the Children's Hospital Queensland as a clinical lead in Liver Transplant and as a senior member of the Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) service. Dr Balouch also holds the position of Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland. They represent Queensland and Australia on the international Consortium of Study of Paediatric Liver Transplantation (SPLIT).
