About
Within the NHS, Dr Handyside practices within Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. She conducts diagnostic assessments including epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, movement disorders, stroke, brain tumours, traumatic brain injury, neuro-inflammation, and cognitive disorders. In addition, she delivers evidence-based cognitive and psychological interventions tailored to each patient’s neurological profile.
Her earlier roles include Lead Clinical Psychologist at the Neuro-Rehabilitation Service at the Queen Elizabeth Foundation, and Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square, where she managed neuropsychological services for acute brain injury and stroke patients.
Dr Handyside earned a First-Class Honours degree in Psychology from the University of Birmingham, followed by a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from University College London. She completed post-doctoral specialist training in Clinical Neuropsychology (QiCN) and is a Chartered Psychologist (CPsychol).
