About Dr Emily DuPre
Dr Emily DuPre is a HCPC-registered clinical psychologist with a strong academic and clinical background developed in both the United States and the UK. She completed a BA in Psychology at Boston College, followed by an MA and PhD in Clinical Psychology at Loyola University Chicago. Her clinical internship was undertaken at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where she received intensive training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) for high-risk adolescents. Dr DuPre has extensive training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), including specialist experience in treating obsessive-compulsive disorder at UCLA Medical Center. She also worked in paediatric psychopharmacology research at Massachusetts General Hospital for two years. Before joining Nightingale Hospital, Dr DuPre worked in a private clinic in Hong Kong, providing individual psychotherapy to children, adolescents and adults. Since 2014, she has worked part-time at Nightingale Hospital, where she offers individual therapy sessions. Her clinical focus includes anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, self-harm and bipolar disorder. She uses a tailored approach based on CBT and mindfulness techniques, helping patients increase self-awareness, build acceptance and implement sustainable changes. Dr DuPre also works as a clinical psychologist and executive coach in other professional settings and continues to contribute to research. Her published work explores topics such as youth development, programme implementation, ADHD and social functioning.
