About Mr Simon Eccles
Mr Simon Eccles is a Consultant Plastic and Craniofacial Surgeon in Central London. He performs plastic surgery reconstructive procedures on both adults and children, as well as cosmetic surgical and non-surgical procedures for adults. He specialises in cranio-facial plastic surgery and cosmetic surgery to the face, nose and eyelids. Mr Eccles graduated in Dentistry in 1985 from the Royal London Hospital Dental School and worked for two years as a maxillo-facial surgeon. He went on to study medicine at the Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School, qualifying in 1992. He obtained his Fellowship with the Royal College of Surgeons of England (FRCS) in 1995. He undertook further training in plastic surgery, specialising in head and neck and cranio-facial surgery. He was awarded the McGregor medal by the Royal College of Surgeons for his outstanding performance in the FRCS (Plast) examination. In 2006, he was appointed as Consultant Plastic Surgeon at both Charing Cross Hospital and the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. In march 2020 he moved to Great Ormond Street Hospital, as part of the plastic surgery and craniofacial teams. He continues to treat children and adults in his private practice. He is the secretary and the head of professional standards of the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS), and he is also a member of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS). He joined the GMC Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery in 2004.
