About Dr Sarah Smith
Dr Sarah Smith works as a Clinical Oncology Consultant and is the Clinical Lead for Radiotherapy at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. She specialises in anal, rectal, ovarian and endometrial cancer treatment and is the principle and co-investigator for multiple clinical trials, striving to better patient treatment and care. She has a private practice based at GenesisCare Cambridge and Milton Keynes, where she offers face to face, video and telephone appointments. She delivers radiotherapy including external beam radiotherapy with simultaneous boost and SABR, together with systemic therapy including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biological therapy, targeted treatment and endocrine therapy. She is also interested in patient centered, personalised medicine. Dr Smith undertook her initial medical training at Imperial College London, graduating in 1998. She also obtained BSc Medical Science at St. Bartholomew's and the Royal London School of Medicine in 1997. After completing her general medical training, during which time she obtained her MRCP, she went onto the specialist registrar clinical oncology London training programme for five years, working at various London hospitals during this time, including University College Hospital, Mount Vernon Hospital and the Royal Marsden Hospital, and also obtained her FRCR.
