About Dr Sajitha Sachchithanantham
Dr. Sajitha Sachchithanantham is a Consultant Haematologist with a specialist NHS practice based at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital in London. She has an interest in haemato-oncology, in particular plasma cell disorders and Amyloidosis. Dr. Sachchithanantham graduated from St George's Hospital medical school in 2005 with a distinction in clinical practice, and also holds a BSc Honours from Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine. After completing her training in Haematology on the South East London rotation - during which she gained experience across all areas of clinical and laboratory haematology including blood transfusion, haemostasis & thrombosis - she undertook MD research on AL amyloidosis at the National Amyloidosis centre before being appointed as Senior Clinical Research Fellow & Honorary Consultant for both Haematology & Amyloidosis at The Royal Free Hospital in December 2015. Whereupon her scope of work broadened to include general consultative haematology alongside specialist national advisory services regarding amyloidosis. As well as regularly publishing papers in leading journals, Dr. Sachchithanantham actively participates in clinical trials alongside her commitments to teaching undergraduates and postgraduates.
