About Dr Robert Stevenson
Dr Robert Stevenson is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist with expertise in uro-oncology and lung cancer. He practices within the University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Trust and privately at The Priory Hospital, Harborne Hospital, and GenesisCare Birmingham. Dr Stevenson graduated from Leicester-Warwick Medical School in 2005, completing his MRCP in 2008 and earning his Fellowship in Clinical Oncology (FRCR) in 2013. He also holds an MSc from the Institute of Psychiatry, University of London, a Diploma in Oncology from the University of Birmingham, and a BSc from the Royal College of Physicians. Dr Stevenson trained within the West Midlands before being appointed as a Consultant at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham in 2014. He played a key role in advancing radiotherapy services, including developing stereotactic radiotherapy for early-stage lung cancer and introducing concurrent radiotherapy for stage 3 disease. His clinical work also covers prostate, kidney, bladder, and testicular cancers, offering treatments such as chemotherapy, targeted therapy, hormone therapy, and advanced radiotherapy techniques. An accredited trainer and educational supervisor with the GMC, Dr. Stevenson regularly lectures on the Oncology MSc programme at the University of Birmingham. He has served as Principal Investigator on multiple national clinical trials and has a record of publications in leading journals.
