About Dr Robert Broomhead
Dr. Robert Broomhead is a consultant anaesthetist at the Cleveland Clinic London Hospital. He has clinical interests in the following areas: • ACL Injuries • Acute Liver Failure (ALF) • Bleeding Disorders • Colorectal Cancer • Decompensated Cirrhosis He is also based at King's College Hospital, where he specialises in adult and paediatric hepatobiliary surgery and liver and multivisceral surgery. He also has expertise in cadaveric and living-related liver transplantation, anaesthesia for major vascular surgery and major trauma, as well as emergency anaesthesia. Additionally, he is an emeritus HEMS consultant at Essex and Herts Air Ambulance and has previously been the clinical lead for anaesthesia at the London Nightingale Project. Dr Broomhead gained his medical degree in 2001 from the University of Leeds. He is a member of a number of professional societies, including the following: • Association of Anaesthetists • The Royal College of Anaesthetists, • The Vascular Anaesthesia Society of Great Britain and Ireland, • International Liver Transplantation Society, • Liver Intensive Care Group of Europe He speaks both English and French.
