He received his specialist registrar training in the Oxford Deanery and joined the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust in Reading as a Consultant Paediatrician in 2002.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Kumar is passionate about education and training in the field of paediatrics. Over the last 18 years, he has held various roles in education and training. He has also completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education and he teaches medical students from Southampton & Oxford Medical schools. He is an advanced life support instructor. He serves as a Senior Royal College Examiner for MRCPCH for Paediatric Trainees. His dedication to paediatric care and education makes him a respected figure in his field.
