Dr Khaleel Jamil is an experienced Consultant in Gastroenterology and General Internal Medicine with specialist expertise in Hepatology. He is based in the South of England and currently sees private patients at Spire Montefiore Hospital in Hove and Nuffield Health Haywards Heath Hospital in Haywards Heath.
Dr Jamil completed his degrees in medical sciences and clinical medicine at the University of Cambridge and University of Oxford in 1998 and 2001 respectively. After qualifying, he completed training in London. During his training he developed extensive knowledge and skills in all areas of gastroenterology and hepatology. Dr Jamil was awarded his Membership with the Royal College of Physicians of London in 2004.
Following his training, Dr Jamil was a clinical research fellow for a year in Australia. In 2015 he was awarded his PhD for his 3-year research work at Imperial College London, graduating with an extensive publication record.
He gained expert experience at major London teaching hospitals including Kings College Hospital, St Mary's Hospital and Barts and the Royal London, and is a consultant hepatologist at Brighton and Sussex University Hospital. Dr Jamil is known for his excellent care and use of evidence-based practise combined with the knowledge and skills he acquired during his training.
