About Dr Kaustubh Nisal
Dr Kaustubh Nisal is a consultant endocrinologist with extensive experience in general and specialist endocrinology, practising at The Park Hospital in Nottingham and Spire Leicester Hospital. He completed his primary medical qualifications at the University of Pune in India before undertaking postgraduate training in internal medicine, where he developed a strong interest in endocrinology and diabetes. He later completed specialist training in the UK, earning CCT accreditation in endocrinology, diabetes, and internal medicine. His clinical expertise spans adrenal disorders, thyroid and parathyroid conditions, pituitary disease, antenatal management of endocrine disorders, and the treatment of complex Type 1 diabetes, including diabetes technology. Dr Nisal also works extensively in hormone replacement therapy and the management of endocrine care for transgender individuals. He is the lead endocrinologist at the Nottingham Centre for Transgender Health and provides additional support to teams in Manchester and the East of England. Dr Nisal has a focused research background in adrenal endocrinology, diabetes, transgender endocrinology, and endocrine care during pregnancy. He is committed to a holistic and collaborative approach, ensuring that patients’ concerns are heard and that decisions are made jointly. His practice reflects his long-standing dedication to evidence-based medicine and thoughtful patient-centred care.
