About Dr Kathy Taghipour
Dr Kathy Taghipour is a Consultant Dermatologist with a broad range of expertise in the field. Her NHS consultant post is at The Whittington Hospital in North London where she is the lead physician for skin cancer services, specialist autoimmune blistering disease clinics and female genital skin clinics. Dr Taghipour also consults on all other aspects of Dermatology and performs surgical and non-surgical removal of benign and malignant lesions. Her private practice is based at Skin55 and DermConsult, where she is able to see private patients with a range of dermatological problems. Dr Taghipour graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Gothenburg University in Sweden and subsequently continued her Medical and Dermatology training in the UK. She obtained membership of the Royal College of Physicians of London and completed her training in Dermatology in the Oxford deanery. Dr Taghipour has achieved a medical doctorate in research from King's College London conducting clinical and laboratory research in the field of blistering diseases at Oxford University Hospitals and St. John's Institute of Dermatology laboratories. She has published widely in peer-reviewed journals and dermatology books, and has spoken in national and international meetings. She enjoys teaching medical students and general practitioners in Dermatology.
