I have been working as a Consultant Cardiologist in Reading since 2006. I provide a wide range of general cardiology diagnostic and treatment services, including chest pain, breathlessness, dizzy spells and blackouts, cardiovascular risk assessment, blood pressure, cholesterol, murmurs and valve disease and palpitations. I have subspecialty interests in coronary angioplasty and stent implantation, pacemaker and defibrillator implantation, and heart failure.
I recognise that, particularly at the moment, many people suffer from considerable levels of anxiety, and that this often results in cardiac symptoms such as palpitations, breathlessness or chest pain. I will assess you to identify whether your symptoms are concerning and need further investigation or treatment, or will aim to provide suitable reassurance if appropriate.
For those that simply want a cardiovascular check up or an assessment of cardiovascular risk (risk of heart attack, angina or stroke) I will happily undertake this and then discuss with you options to address this.
