Dr Jones is also an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the School of Medicine in Keele University. In addition to this, Dr Jones is a member of the Shrewsbury and Telford NHS Trust Senior Leadership Team and Chair of the Medical Education committee.
Dr Jones has research experience in bowel and stomach diseases and was awarded a PhD by Nottingham University. During this period of research, Dr Jones published articles in national and international journals, including book chapters. Dr Jones maintains an interest in medical regulation and holds a number of GMC associate roles. Dr Jones is also a clinical advisor to the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman.
