Robert Boulton-Jones is a Consultant Gastroenterologist and General Physician who qualified in 1992 and trained in the University of Edinburgh.
Dr Boulton-Jones has worked as a consultant in South Glasgow in both the New Victoria Hospital and Queen Elizabeth University Hospital since 2003.
Dr Boulton-Jones performs upper and lower endoscopy and is a specialist bowel cancer screening colonoscopist and exceeds the key performance indicattors for these procedures. He also performs ERCP. Dr Boulton-Jones has wide experience of treating gastrointestinal disorders including dyspepsia, reflux and constipation and diarrhoea. He as a particular interest in Inflammatory Bowel Disease and works closely with medical, surgical, radiology colleagues. He also runs the benign upper GI pH monitoring and manometry service at the New Victoria Hospital including the multi-disciplinary team with surgical colleagues.
His interests outside medicine including walking, cycling, tennis and bridge.
