He went on to specialise in advanced echocardiography. He was appointed as a Consultant Cardiologist at North Middlesex University Hospital (NMUH) in 2016, where he runs a special valve clinic. He is also developing an acute cardiology service at NMUH Accident and Emergency department.

Alongside his clinical work, Dr Maradia regularly teaches junior doctors, consultants from other specialities and visiting doctors from developing countries. He is also actively involved with charities such as the ‘Heart Valve Voice', raising awareness of heart valve disease.
