About Dr Daniela Piras
Dr Daniela Piras is an accredited Consultant Dermatologist. Daniela trained at the Sassari University in Italy with successful qualifying with a Distinction in 1999. Dr Piras had further medical training in Dermatology and Venereology completed in 2003 and was awarded with a Distinction. Daniela also trained as a clinical research fellow at the Royal London Hospital in 2004. Dr Piras main dermatological interest is skin cancer including its assessment, diagnosis and treatment of malignant growths. She is also interested in treating acne, psoriasis, eczema and urticaria. Daniela participated in advanced training in Dermoscopy in order to assess a variety of skin disorders such as moles, warts and cancerous growths in a diverse range of skin and age groups. She provides the mole mapping with an advanced digital dermoscopy system for mole/naevus monitoring and skin cancer prevention. She had worked at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospital NHS Trust for over 10 years dealing with inflammatory skin disorders and skin cancer. Currently Dr Daniela Piras practices as a Consultant Dermatologist and skin cancer lead at the Epsom and St Helier University Hospital NHS Trust . Dr Piras also handles her own private consultations in the Northey Suite, Wells wing, at Epsom hospital. Dr Piras is registered as a British Specialist of the General Medical Council (GMC) as well as being a successful member of the British Association of Dermatologists.
