About Dr Brian Kaplan
Dr Brian Kaplan - Holistic Medical Doctor, Counsellor and Natural Therapist Dr. Brian Kaplan is a qualified medical doctor specialising in Whole Person Medicine, Homeopathy, Autogenic Training (a powerful relaxation technique) and Provocative Therapy, the use of warmhearted humour and reverse psychology in psychotherapy. Whole Person Medicine includes the best of conventional medicine as well as holistic and naturopathic approaches which aim to encourage the body to heal itself. Learning to reduce stress dramatically with the powerful method of Autogenic Training is an important part of his vision of Whole Person Medicine. In addressing the needs of the whole person, psychological issues are very important to Dr Kaplan. To help people improve their relationships, create new relationships and get more out of their work, he uses Provocative Therapy. This ultra-brief form of therapy or coaching provokes patients to come up with their own solutions to their issues - and enact them. Improved relationships may also contribute to improved physical health. Brian became a doctor because he wanted to work with people and make them feel better – physically and psychologically. A six-year programme at medical school taught him a lot about medical science but working with people has been a life-time journey for him. He has studied Classical Homeopathy and written a book on the subject, The Homeopathic Conversation, (Natural Medicine Press 2001I) Since qualifying as a doctor in 1980, Brian has continued to be passionate about learning about medical tools that empower people to get better and feel better about themselves.
