Dr Holt is a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist working at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham. He has a PhD in liver immunology at the Centre for Immune Regulation in Birmingham University and continues to publish.

Andrew has over 20 years of experience of managing complex liver disease and receives referrals from across the UK as well as looking after international patients who travel to see him from around the world.
His clinical interests include general diseases of the GI tract and liver including dyspepsia, fatty liver disease, alcohol injury, Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C infections, jaundice, liver cirrhosis and cancers of the liver, pancreas and bile duct. He is able to assess for both live- and cadaveric liver transplantation.
Dr Holt is happy to see patients with general Gastroenterology problems, including unexplained abnormalities of liver blood tests and screening for cirrhosis with ELF testing and FibroScan.
