Dr Chauhan achieved his MRCP(UK) in 2016 and completed his Specialty Certificate Examination in 2018. He is dual accredited to work as a Consultant in Geriatric Medicine and General Internal Medicine.

Alongside his specialty training, Dr Chauhan completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Medical Education, at the University of Cardiff in 2014 and was awarded for his contribution to teaching by the South Thames Foundation School. He remains actively involved in undergraduate medical education with the UCL Medical School.

Dr Chauhan worked for the National Medical Director of NHS England as a Clinical Fellow 2018-19 and supported the delivery of several national policies, including the NHS Long term Plan (2019), Clinical Review of Standards and the Evidenced Based Interventions Programme. He has since completed an MBA with a Healthcare Specialism at Warwick Business School.

Dr Chauhan was appointed as a Consultant Physician at the Royal Free Hospital in 2023 and is the Clinical Lead for his department. He sees patients in Accident Emergency and the Acute Assessment Unit when they first present to hospital.
