About Dr Daniel Keene
Dr Daniel Keene is an experienced Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist at OneWelbeck Heart Health. He completed his medical degree at University of Manchester in 2009. He became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians in 2012 and completed his Master’s degree from Middlesex University in the same year. Following his foundation years training and core medical training, he secured a National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) Academic Clinical Fellow post in Cardiology at Imperial College London in 2013. Dr Keene then completed a British Heart Foundation Clinical Research Training Fellowship which led to the completion of his PhD in 2016, focusing on novel issues in implantable cardiac devices. Dr Keene later completed an Advanced Clinical Training Fellow in Electrophysiology and Devices. This advanced training honed his skills in cardiac electrophysiology and ablation, simple and complex cardiac device implantation, troubleshooting, and follow-up. Dr Keene has expertise in conductions system pacing, subcutaneous ICD implantation with nerve block analgesia, interventional CRT techniques, cardiac device lead management and complex lead extraction. Alongside this, Dr Keene finds joy in performing and interpreting electrophysiological studies, undertaking ablations for various cardiac conditions inparticular atrial arrhythmias and Atrial Fibrillation..
