Dr. Higgins has been committed to conducting research in the field, including securing funding to explore the factors contributing to vulval lichen sclerosus development. This work culminated in a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from the University of Glasgow in 2013, focusing on inflammatory pathways using the pregnant uterus model. At Westbourne Medical Studios, Dr. Higgins is eager to apply her expertise in managing a wide range of gynaecological concerns, ensuring personalised and compassionate care for all her patients.
