About
Mr Derham has completed the prestigious National Spine Fellowship in England and the EANS Neurosurgical Fellowship in Innsbruck, Austria. He practices all aspects of neurosurgery with a subspecialty interest in complex spinal surgery, including intradural tumour surgery, cranio-cervical junction surgery, and minimally invasive spine procedures.
A strong advocate for patient safety and high-quality care, Mr Derham has contributed to national quality improvement initiatives in spinal services (GIRFT/SBNS). He is committed to advancing surgical techniques as well as teaching and mentoring neurosurgical trainees and consultants in the UK and internationally.
Mr Derham offers a wide range of treatments, including anterior cervical discectomy and fusion, spinal decompression, minimally invasive spinal surgery, vertebroplasty, spinal fusion, nerve surgery, and trauma surgery.
Outside of medicine, he is a keen sports and outdoors enthusiast with a passion for the mountains and the sea. He speaks English, Slovenian, and German.
