Dr Caspar A Boerner is a Specialist General and Interventional Cardiologist at German Heart Centre, Dubai. He studied medicine at the Universities of Antwerp in Belgium, Homburg and Heidelberg in Germany, where he graduated as MD in 1983. In 1985 he completed his PhD degree from Heidelberg University.
He successfully completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Josephs-Krankenhaus in Heidelberg and was officially certified in Internal Medicine in 1992. He received his fellowship training in cardiology at the North-Rhine-Westphalian Heart and Diabetes Centre in Bad Oeynhausen and became board certified as a specialist cardiologist in 1994.
Dr Boerner has extensive experience in all areas of non-invasive and interventional cardiology, gained as an active partner of one of Germany's busiest and most distinguished cardiovascular centres. In particular, he is interested in Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Coronary Computed Tomography Angiography.
He is a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology (FESC), the German Society for Internal Medicine, and the German Society of Cardiology. He is also a respected member of the Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
