Dr. Caroline Jennifer Ward is an experienced Consultant Dermatologist with expertise spanning medical, surgical, and aesthetic dermatology. She has particular proficiency in Mohs micrographic surgery, laser treatments, and cosmetic dermatology, combining technical precision with a warm, patient-centred approach. Dr. Ward holds a substantive NHS Consultant Dermatologist position at the Sussex Community Dermatology Service, where she provides comprehensive skin care to patients with both common and complex dermatological conditions. She is a member of the Royal College of Physicians, British Association of Dermatologists, British Cosmetic Dermatology Group, British Society of Dermatological Surgery, Royal Society of Medicine, and the British Medical Association. After qualifying in medicine from University College London (UCL) in 2011, Dr. Ward completed her early medical training in Oxford and Portsmouth, followed by higher specialist dermatology training at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. Her clinical interests include skin cancer diagnosis and management, laser and aesthetic dermatology, and advanced dermatologic surgery. Known for her approachable nature and dedication to her patients, Dr. Ward takes pride in delivering high-quality, compassionate care—always going the extra mile to help her patients achieve the best possible outcomes. Outside her clinical work, Dr. Ward enjoys an active lifestyle and a variety of outdoor pursuits, including cycling, hockey, windsurfing, skiing, and snowboarding.
